WHAT WE DO Beginning Students
It is important to build a firm and knowledgeable foundation to be
able to sing with ease and confidence. We begin our lessons by
teaching the student to breathe correctly, train the outer ear to
connect with the inner ear, identifying intervals and pitch,
proper placement of the voice and vocal support. We believe it is
very important to know how to read music. This is combined in the
lesson where needed. Advanced to professional Singers Having sung all over the world we know the stress and strength one needs for a singing career and the importance of singing correctly to avoid vocal problems. We teach the Bel Canto technique, building the voice to it’s full potential and beauty. This includes vocal placement, vocal production, phrasing, support and the correct repertoire for the individual student. Specific vocal problems are identified and worked out.
¶ We work with singers who have processing problems; identifying pitches and intervals, training the “lazy ear”. ¶ We work with stroke survivors, retraining their breathing skills as well as their ear training and vocal abilities. ¶ Singing is very therapeutic. The vibration of one’s own voice is healing, garnering confidence and self-pride.
